Andrey Severyukhin, Sumsub CEO, co-founded the business in 2015 and has seen it grow under his leadership from a small startup to an industry-leading verification platform. Today, Sumsub has eight international offices, more than 750 employees, and over 4,000 clients, including Avis, Wirex, Vodafone, Kaizen Gaming, and Duolingo.
With a degree in theoretical physics, Mr. Severyukhin worked as a C-suite manager at leading automotive and IT firms before launching Sumsub. Sumsub is the recipient of a slew of awards and accolades. These include Best KYC Solution of the Year at the Sigma Central Europe Awards 2025, Best Client Lifestyle Management Solution (Digital Assets) at the Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2025, Global Verification Platform of the Year at the FinTech Breakthrough Awards 2025, and Compliance Solution of the Year at the Asia Gaming Awards 2025.
Mr. Severyukhin enjoys a range of hobbies and interests in his free time, including triathlons, water sports, motorcross, and reading; he particularly likes non-fiction books on neuroscience. He has previously entered both Ironman and Oceanman tournaments and relishes the opportunity both sporting events and work give him to travel. Mr. Severyukhin also has a keen interest in medical biohacking, something which can be used to potentially improve sport performance and overall quality of life. A longtime animal lover, he has a dog called Nessie and lives between London and Limassol.
